De 28 a 30 de maio de 2025, os parceiros do projeto UNLOCK, liderado pela Universidade Hanze, irão reunir-se em Tomar, Abrantes e Portalegre com o objetivo de discutir melhorias nas políticas regionais para o desenvolvimento da economia do hidrogénio verde e o seu impacto nas PME.
O evento reunirá parceiros do projeto e especialistas em hidrogénio verde e transição energética, para debater oportunidades para as PME na região do Médio Tejo, explorar os mais recentes avanços tecnológicos e partilhar conhecimento sobre soluções sustentáveis para os setores da energia e das infraestruturas.
Durante a visita a Portugal, os participantes contarão com um programa diversificado, que promoverá o trabalho colaborativo, a troca de experiências e momentos de reflexão conjunta.
No primeiro dia, terá lugar em Tomar uma Reunião do Comité de Acompanhamento, que incluirá debates sobre o progresso das melhorias políticas, proporcionando também um espaço para os parceiros apresentarem as atualizações realizadas no âmbito do projeto.
No segundo dia, o Seminário UNLOCK será integrado na Conferência Internacional “Médio Tejo: A Visão de uma Região Europeia Emergente”, que decorrerá no Museu de Arte Contemporânea Charters de Almeida, em Abrantes. Os temas principais incidirão sobre as oportunidades para as PME da região, com intervenções de oradores de relevo no contexto nacional e um enfoque especial no Médio Tejo. Durante a tarde, o seminário prosseguirá com sessões de especialistas e mesas-redondas.
No terceiro dia, os participantes deslocar-se-ão a Portalegre para visitar o Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre e o Centro de Investigação VALORIZA. O programa incluirá ainda uma sessão de conclusões e próximos passos.
Com este conjunto de atividades, o projeto UNLOCK pretende avançar no cumprimento dos seus objetivos, nomeadamente: melhorar os instrumentos de política regional, promover o crescimento sustentável, reforçar a competitividade das PME e impulsionar a criação de emprego no contexto das economias regionais emergentes do hidrogénio verde.
5th Study Visit UNLOCK – Médio Tejo, Portugal (Tomar – Abrantes - Portalegre)
From May 28–30, 2025, partners and stakeholders of the UNLOCK project, led by Hanze University, will meet in Tomar, Abrantes and Portalegre, Portugal, for the 5th Study Visit to discuss regional policy improvements for developing the green hydrogen economy and its impact on SMEs.
The event will bring together key stakeholders, project partners, and experts in green hydrogen and energy transition to discuss opportunities for SMEs in the Médio Tejo region, explore the latest technological developments, and share knowledge on sustainable solutions for the energy and infrastructure sectors.
During the study visit, participants will take part in a varied program that will provide opportunity to work together and share insights, but also to offer inspiration.
The three-day event will highlight key topics such as opportunities for sustainable economic growth in the region, the integration of SMEs in the green hydrogen production and infrastructure sectors, and the potential for job creation and innovation within the emerging green hydrogen economy of Médio Tejo.
On Day 1, a Steering Committee Meeting and Policy Improvements session will take place in Tomar. The first day will also feature discussions on the progress of policy improvements, with an opportunity for partners to share updates.
On Day 2, the UNLOCK Seminar will be integrated into the International Conference “Médio Tejo: The Vision of an Emerging European Region”, held at the Museu de Arte Contemporânea Charters de Almeida in Abrantes. Key topics will include opportunities for SMEs in the region, with notable speakers from the Portuguese context with a a special focus on the the Médio Tejo region. In the afternoon, the seminar will continue with sessions with expert speakers and panel discussions. The day will conclude with a Networking Dinner.
On Day 3, participants will travel to Portalegre to visit the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, VALORIZA Research Centre. The day will also include a Peer Review session and a network lunch at the CIM Médio Tejo headquarters.
This study visit is a unique opportunity to engage with key stakeholders, share knowledge, and strengthen the collaboration for the development of the green hydrogen economy in Europe.
With all activities the UNLOCK project is closer to achieving its objectives: improving regional policy instruments to enhance sustainable growth, SMEs competitiveness, and job creation within SMEs in the rapidly developing regional green hydrogen economies.
